Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Invitations 2019

The province of Saskatchewan recently invited 525 skilled foreign workers to apply for provincial nominations through their Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program.

The November 12 draw issued invitations to applicants from various sectors including the human resource managers, power engineers and power systems operators, drafting technologists and technicians and database analysts and administrators etc.

All eligible candidates with a cut-off score of 69 in the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand streams were invited to apply for provincial nomination.

The Nominee Program also allows the pool of candidates from the Express Entry to actively participate in in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program-Express Entry stream. The recent Saskatchewan draw held on November 12, 2019, invited around 303 candidates from the express entry stream.

The nominated candidates from the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream are given additional 600 points in their Federal Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking Score. This extra point guarantees an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

The second subcategory of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program is the Occupation In-Demand stream intended for applicants who do not qualify for an express entry profile.

On the November 12, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program selected 222 applicants to apply for nomination, through their Occupation In-Demand stream.

Both the streams of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program do not require a job offer and are promising in terms of provincial nominations.

Also, any qualified applicant with continuous one-year experience in an eligible occupation can apply to participate in the program.

Since the beginning of the draws in September, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program has invited around 5,229 invitations to the eligible participants from its both streams. This was possible due to the extension of the eligible occupation from a mere 19 to about 218 occupations in September 2019. A total of 12 rounds of invitation draws been conducted so far in a variety of eligible occupations.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program selects the applications for permanent residence based on their point. The SINP has a point system in which the applicants are assessed out of 100 based on their age, education, work experience, language proficiency as well as adaptability to Saskatchewan. The minimum points required to meet to become eligible for the SINP program is 60 points.

Following this, the eligible candidates can register with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program through an Expression of Interest (EOI) application.
